Google offered us a first peek at the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro earlier this year during the keynote address at Google I/O 2022. Their Pixel lineup along with the pixel watch was revealed in the event ‘Made by Google on 6th October, 6 pm ET, and 7:30 pm IST.
As Google launched Pixel 7 and 7 Pro in India, Indian fans are more eager than ever for their new flagships. With their new SoC Tensor G2 in the flagships and their newly unveiled colors, Pixel 7 features a 90 Hz 6.32 inch FHD+ OLED display, 8GB of RAM, dual camera set-up, a primary 50MP sensor, 12MP ultrawide, and 10.8MP front-facing camera. The phone has arrived in two storage options, 128GB and 256GB. Pixel 7 Pro, on the other hand, features a 120 Hz 6.7 inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display with up to peak brightness of 1500 nits of brightness. The screen features a high pixel density of 512ppi. For comparison, iPhone 14 pro-Max has 460 PPI.
Pixel 7 pro also features a triple rear camera set-up, a main camera 50MP OIS camera, a 48 MP telephoto and a 12 MP ultrawide, and a 10 MP selfie camera. Paired up with that is 12 GB of ram and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The pro phone gets a 5000mAh battery which fast charges at 30W and also features fast 23W wireless charging. It also features reverse wireless charging.
Both are priced equivalent to the Pixel 6 series i.e around 59,999 and 84,999 for Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 pro respectively and are set to launch on October 13 on Flipkart. Google has to play its cards right to compete with iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro as it comes with a new 48MP sensor. Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 pro do feature a 50MP sensor, the best in class but the performance will be judged as we get them in hand. Software-wise both of the phones will have their own advantages, and different operating systems, each known for its own perks.
